CARE
& CLEANING
Bring your
jewelry into our store for a free professional cleaning and checkup at
least once a year.
To clean your
jewelry at home, you can use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner created
specifically for jewelry.
Other proper care tips for your
fine jewelry:
-
Remove all
jewelry when using chlorine or bleach and when in hot tubs and swimming
pools. These chemicals stress and corrode metals that are alloyed
with the gold in jewelry. Prongs easily break, stones fall out and
mountings crack after being exposed to chlorine and bleach.
-
Always separate
your gold jewelry in a compart-mentalized jewelry box. This
protects against scratching.
-
Remove all jewelry before
showering or cleaning. Soap can cause a film to form on gold jewelry
and gemstones making them appear dull.
-
Remove jewelry and
pearls before applying makeup and hairspray.
